Typography Applied (late)

I completed the typography applied practice which was located on the internet. I learned about kerning and Metric vs. optical, i learned how to apply roman hanging punctuation. I became familiar with the glyphs panel and how to access it. Hyphens and dashes are indications of overflow as well as a good tool to use for typography. i learned how to place text on a path by using the type on path tool or by using the regular text tool and get close to the path. Involving typing on a path i learned many variations of different paths as well as how to limit and control where the text goes on the path. Area type is a particular variation of type associated with path's except the type is contained within the path. Creating columns of text can be useful for ad's and it is something i am now familiar with. Text flow occurs when there is not enough space in the allotted type box and it is limiting it. You can use text flow by using the direct selection tool and clicking on the little red plus sign to the right of the text-flow situation. I can scale any object/text/picture by going to object-> transform -> scale. This activity was a good lesson on some basic skills of adobe illustrator.
